Mitchell comes from a coaching background of ten years working
with elite athletes and coaches from the U.S. Olympic Rowing Teams,
Dartmouth College, The United States Coast Guard Academy and The University
of New Hampshire. He has spent the last fourteen years transferring
these team building, leadership and coaching skills fluidly from the
athletic to the corporate arena.
Whit works one-on-one with individuals, facilitates the team development process and delivers presentations on communication and leadership. He works with corporations, small businesses and individuals to elicit change in their work environments. Working InSync has a line up of training tools and instruments designed to help teams and leaders become more effective.
Whit speaks from experience holding affiliations from several leading New England consulting firms. Before his becoming a successful consultant, Whit was the Director of the "Fitness and Lifestyle Improvement Program" at Dartmouth College, where he was responsible for the development and growth of a comprehensive health and fitness program. He also developed the Human Performance Laboratory at Dartmouth College, designed for physiological testing of Olympic and Collegiate athletes.
Whit has worked with a variety of Fortune 500 companies as well as small businesses throughout the Northeast including software companies, manufacturing corporations, service firms, and financial institutions. Among his many successes is substantially increased customer satisfaction in luxury car dealerships, cultural leadership training throughout top management for a major international airline and a 48% reduction rate of defects with consistent and constant production levels for a leading film manufacturing company. Clients have turned to Whit for the information, skill-building tools and relationship strategies. His focus in coaching teams and leaders is for them to take an inventory of where they are, create a clear vision, set specific strategies for change and create benchmarks for accountability to keep them focused and on track.
