Corporate Leadership Inspiration

The Power to Inspire Others to Follow

Team Development Program

Objective:

We will work with you on 4 critical areas of your business:

  1. Discovery - to help your people take an inventory of what’s working and what is not working in their present position within the organization.
  2. Vision -to help the team create the vision of the type of person and team they can become, we need to make sure the business goals and objectives are clear and obtainable.
  3. Strategy - once we know where your team is today and once we create a vision with some clear objectives and goals of where you want to take them, we can then create some specific strategies that will move the team from where they are today to where they want to go.
  4. Accountability - once the team members are focused and on track, we can set up some appropriate benchmarks so when they get off track they have some accountability measures to keep from going off on tangents.

How:

Each team participant will engage in a one-on-one interview to help diagnose the culture. Once the discovery phase is completed there will be a report out with recommendations for next steps. Often teams will consider a two-day offsite that often includes one or more of the following:

  • Experiential team building activities
  • "Dynamic Communication" seminar
  • "Appreciative Inquiry" process
  • Team strategies & commitments for change

All programs include action steps and accountability measures. It is strongly recommended to have follow-up check-ins for the next 30-60-90 days to insure the team is staying on track with their commitments.

Here’s Why:

  1. We are going to provide you with what you need to know in order to create a team that works most effectively together.
  2. We are going to identify and help your people develop certain skills that are critical to their success.
  3. We will show them ways to build better relationships both inside and outside your organization.

Expectations:

  1. A team that is positioned properly in the marketplace and one that builds momentum.
  2. A team that has established a vision, with clear roles, responsibilities and tasks so that they can work together on a common mission, with a common sense of purpose and shared responsibility.
  3. A concise, focused plan for staying on track.

Conflict:

“We need them, but we hate working together. They make unreasonable demands, accept no responsibility and everything ends up being our fault. What started out as a great relationship has deteriorated into a punch in the stomach that follows us home from work.”
Manufacturing (NH Based Mfg Firm)

Resolution:

“Our supplier was about to shut us off because of conflict between our teams. The results would have been disastrous, with millions of dollars lost on both sides. We suggested using WIS to help us re-establish positive communications, fresh commitments and mutual accountability. Today, our relationship is the strongest it has ever been—thanks to the expert skills of Whit Mitchell at WIS.”
